The 1426Y-B is the satin blue 12 x 6 x 5.5 in (305 x 152 x 140 mm) member of the 1426 metal instrument enclosure series, with a 5.5 in tall front panel on a shallow 6 in deep case for meters, switches and displays. It is aimed at electronics designers, OEM engineers and hobbyists building desktop equipment.
The top and bottom are 20 gauge steel for strength, powder coated satin blue. The front and rear panels are 0.064 in thick aluminum that is easy to machine for switches, connectors and displays. The front panel is satin black and the rear panel matches the satin blue case colour. The rear panel and the bottom of the enclosure are vented.
