The 1426V-B is the satin blue version of the 12 x 8 x 4 in (305 x 203 x 102 mm) 1426 metal instrument enclosure, for builders who want a coloured case for bench electronics, test gear or lab instruments rather than the beige finish of the 1426V. It is aimed at electronics designers, OEM engineers and hobbyists building desktop equipment.
The top and bottom are 20 gauge steel for strength, powder coated satin blue. The front and rear panels are 0.064 in thick aluminum that is easy to machine for switches, connectors and displays. The front panel is satin black and the rear panel matches the satin blue case colour. The rear panel and the bottom of the enclosure are vented.
The case is 12 in wide, 8 in deep and 4 in high, and the listed shipping weight is 3.94 lbs (1.79 kg). The material is listed as steel with aluminum end panels, and the 1426V-B is supplied in shrink wrap packaging.
