The 1426W-B is a satin blue 12 x 10 x 4 in (305 x 254 x 102 mm) metal instrument enclosure: the blue counterpart of the 1426W, with the same 10 in depth for longer boards and wiring inside a 4 in tall desktop case. It is aimed at electronics designers, OEM engineers and hobbyists building desktop equipment.
The top and bottom are 20 gauge steel for strength, powder coated satin blue. The front and rear panels are 0.064 in thick aluminum that is easy to machine for switches, connectors and displays. The front panel is satin black and the rear panel matches the satin blue case colour. The rear panel and the bottom of the enclosure are vented.
It is 12 in wide, 10 in deep and 4 in high, and ships at 4.39 lbs (1.99 kg). The material is listed as steel with aluminum end panels, and the 1426W-B is supplied in shrink wrap packaging.
Each case includes four 6-32 x 1/4 self-tapping Philips nickel plated screws and four self-adhesive rubber feet. Replacement screws are part 1421J6 (package of 6) and replacement rubber feet are 1421T9. The same size is offered in beige (off white) as 1426W. The enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing), solid models are available in STEP or IGES, and it is RoHS and REACH compliant.
