The 1422N4S16E12F is the taller 60 in wide member of the 1422 N4 SS family: a Type 4X double door floormount enclosure in 12 gauge 316 stainless steel for electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments. It is intended for places where gear is hosed down, stays very wet, or where corrosion is a serious concern.
The enclosure measures 72.13 in H x 60.06 in W x 12.69 in D (1,832 x 1,526 x 322 mm) and stands on welded 12 in floor stands for an overall drawing height of 84.13 in. Behind the two 28.00 in doors are two 26.55 in wide door openings, 69.38 in high, with 12.09 in of usable depth. The removable 10 gauge inner panel is 68.00 x 56.00 in (1727 x 1422 mm), white powder coated, and sits on panel supports and collar studs; the center post lifts out to ease panel installation. The drawing gives 26.64 in of clear space available on each door.
Welded seams are smooth and continuous with no knockouts, cutouts or holes, and body stiffeners are provided in the larger enclosures of the series for extra rigidity. Doors hang on continuous hinges with removable stainless hinge pins, close with heavy duty stainless steel clamps against a seamless poured-in place gasket, and can be padlocked. Stainless steel lifting eyebolts with reinforcing support angles help move the 645 lb (292.57 kg) unit, which ships on a skid.
The 1422N4S16E12F is rated UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
