Hammond 1422N4S16F12F 72x72x12 Double-Door 316 Stainless Floormount Enclosure

For the widest control layouts in the 12 in deep range of the 1422 N4 SS series, the 1422N4S16F12F offers a 72 x 72 in face in 12 gauge 316 stainless steel. This Type 4X floormount enclosure houses electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments where equipment is hosed down, stays wet or must resist serious corrosion.

Dimensions are 72.13 in H x 72.06 in W x 12.69 in D (1,832 x 1,830 x 322 mm), rising to 84.13 in overall on the welded 12 in floor stands. Two 34.00 in wide doors cover two 32.55 in wide door openings, each 69.38 in high, and the drawing lists 12.09 in of usable depth and 32.39 in of clear space available on each door. The 68.00 x 68.00 in (1727 x 1727 mm) removable 10 gauge inner panel is powder coated white and installs on panel supports and collar studs once the removable center post is out.

The shell uses smooth continuously welded seams with no knockouts, cutouts or holes; the larger enclosures in the series receive body stiffeners for extra rigidity. A formed lip on door and opening top turns away flowing liquids, the seamless poured-in place gasket seals each door, and heavy duty stainless steel clamps secure them. Doors hang on continuous hinges and lift away by pulling the stainless hinge pin; padlock provision is included. Heavy duty stainless lifting eyebolts with support angles handle the 750 lb (340.19 kg) weight, packed on a skid.

The 1422N4S16F12F is UL 508A and CSA listed for Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and meets RoHS and REACH.
