The 1422N4S16B12F is a Type 4X two door floormount enclosure formed from 12 gauge 316 stainless steel, built to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments where equipment may be hosed down, stay very wet, or face serious corrosion. It suits panel builders and OEM engineers who need a freestanding cabinet footprint without adding a separate base, because 12 in floor stands are welded to the enclosure.
The body measures 60.13 in H x 48.06 in W x 12.69 in D (1,527 x 1,221 x 322 mm). The drawing shows an overall height of 72.13 in including the floor stands, a 45.31 in wide by 57.38 in high door opening, and 12.06 in of usable depth. A removable 10 gauge inner panel measuring 56.00 x 44.00 in (1422 x 1118 mm) is supplied, finished in white powder coating and mounted on collar studs with panel supports for easy installation.
Seams are smooth and continuously welded with no knockouts, cutouts or holes. Each 22.00 in wide door hangs on a continuous hinge and is secured with heavy duty stainless steel clamps; pull the stainless steel hinge pin to remove a door. A formed lip on the doors and top of the opening excludes flowing liquids, a seamless poured-in place gasket seals the doors, and there is provision for padlocking. Heavy duty stainless steel lifting eyebolts with reinforcing support angles aid handling of this 491 lb (222.71 kg) unit, which ships on a skid.
