Hammond 1422N4S16B12FQT 60x48x12 In 316 Stainless Two-Door Floormount Enclosure

The 1422N4S16B12FQT is a Type 4X two-door floormount enclosure in 316 stainless steel from the 1422 N4 QT SS series. It is the smallest size in that series at 60.13 x 48.06 x 12.69 in (1,527 x 1,221 x 322 mm), sold as nominal 60 x 48 x 12. It is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments where equipment may be hosed down, very wet or where corrosion is a serious problem.

The enclosure is formed 12 gauge stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. Two continuously hinged doors, removable by pulling the stainless steel hinge pins, are secured with quarter turn latches and have provision for padlocking. A seamless poured-in place gasket and a formed lip on the doors and top of the enclosure opening exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. 12 in floor stands are welded to the enclosure, and heavy duty stainless steel lifting eyebolts come with reinforcing support angles.

A removable 10 gauge inner panel, 56 x 44 in (1,422 x 1,118 mm) and finished in white powder coating, sits on panel supports and collar studs; the center post is removable for easy panel installation. The part drawing shows a door opening of 45.31 in wide by 57.38 in high, 12.00 in of usable depth, and an overall height of 72.13 in including the floor stands. Each door has a bonding stud with a matching grounding stud in the enclosure, and a literature pocket is provided.

The 1422 N4 QT SS series is listed to UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant.

The cover and enclosure are natural brushed stainless steel. Shipping weight is 476 lbs (215.91 kg) on a skid. The 304 stainless version is 1422N4SSB12FQT.
