Hammond 1422N4S16F12FQT 72x72x12 In 316 Stainless Two-Door Floormount Enclosure

The 1422N4S16F12FQT is the widest 12 in deep size in the 1422 N4 QT SS series: a 316 stainless steel Type 4X two-door floormount enclosure measuring 72.13 x 72.06 x 12.69 in (1,832 x 1,830 x 322 mm), nominally 72 x 72 x 12. With a 68 x 68 in inner panel, it houses electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments where equipment may be hosed down, very wet or where corrosion is a serious problem.

The body is formed 12 gauge stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. Both continuously hinged doors are removable by pulling the stainless steel hinge pins, close with quarter turn latches and have provision for padlocking. A seamless poured-in place gasket and formed lips on the doors and top of the enclosure opening exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. The enclosure is supported by welded 12 in floor stands and fitted with heavy duty stainless steel lifting eyebolts and reinforcing support angles.

The removable 10 gauge inner panel is 68 x 68 in (1,727 x 1,727 mm) in white powder coat, installed on panel supports and collar studs with the center post removed. The part drawing shows two door openings of 32.55 in each, 69.38 in high, 12.00 in of usable depth and 84.13 in overall height with floor stands. There is a bonding stud on each door, a grounding stud in the enclosure for each door, and a literature pocket.

The 1422 N4 QT SS series is listed to UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
