The 1411ZU is a 17 in x 5 in x 4 in (432 mm x 127 mm x 102 mm) utility case in natural, unpainted aluminum. It is the unfinished counterpart of the grey 1411Z and gives engineers, hobbyists and panel builders a long, slim metal housing they can drill, mark and finish to their own requirements.
The bottom and cover are made from 0.04 in (1.02 mm) aluminum panels. Because the surface is unpainted, it is protected through manufacturing and shipping by a plastic film cover that keeps the finish clean. That film also doubles as a removable drilling template, so you can lay out holes directly on the case before cutting.
