The 1411Y is a 16 x 8 x 3 in (406 x 203 x 76 mm) utility case from the 1411 series, finished in smooth ASA 61 grey powder coat (Hammond color GY2). It gives electronics builders, OEM engineers and service technicians a ready-finished aluminum housing for instruments, controls and small circuits.
Construction is a simple two-piece assembly: a bottom and a cover, each made from 0.04" (1.02 mm) aluminum panels. Four self-tapping screws are included to fasten the cover, and replacement screws are available as 1421J6, a package of six plated 6-32 x 1/4" Philips head self-tapping screws.
At 16 x 8 x 3 inches this is the longest case in this group, providing a 16 inch long, 8 inch wide interior for extended layouts.
