The 1182R110 is a 750 VA toroidal power transformer with two 110 V secondaries, each 3.41 A. In series they provide 220V C.T. @ 3.41A and in parallel 110V @ 6.82A. It is a fit for equipment that needs a 110 V or 220 V output derived from 117 VAC or 234 VAC input.
Primary and secondary leads are both #16 TEW, 8"-9" long and stripped 0.5" minimum; secondaries are RED-BLU and GRY-YEL. The series table lists 3.10% regulation and dimension reference K. This open-center toroid is supplied with two 0.093" x 4.75" OD rubber washers, one 16GA x 4.30" OD steel mounting washer and a 3/8-16 bolt 3.50" long with lock washer and hex nut. Shipping weight is 13 lbs (5.90 kg).
The toroid core gives the benefits the series is built around: low profile, light weight, cool running and high efficiency, and low stray magnetic flux leakage (low EMI). For installation, connect the two 117 V primaries in parallel for 117 VAC or in series for 234 VAC, 50/60 Hz. The series is designed to have all windings engaged, either series or parallel connected, or connected as an autotransformer, and a connection sheet is included with the transformer. Toroids can draw a high magnetizing current when first energized, so a slow-blow fuse, time-delayed circuit breaker or other soft-start circuit on the supply line is recommended.
