Key Features

  • Input: 600 ohm CT primary to 600 ohm CT secondary
  • Center taps on both windings, bifilar wound
  • 500 mW output, 1 dB insertion loss
  • 9 mA max primary DC
  • -1 dB low frequency roll-off at 150 Hz
  • Sealed epoxy to MIL-T-27 (Grade 5, Class S); 200 V peak working

The 106EE is a miniature epoxy-potted input audio transformer from the 106 Series with center taps on both windings: a 600 ohm center-tapped primary and a 600 ohm center-tapped secondary. It is intended for P.C. board designs that need a balanced 600 ohm input on both sides of the transformer.

Center-tapped units in this series are bifilar wound for balanced resistive and capacitive characteristics. Rugged black epoxy potting forms a completely sealed unit that withstands severe environmental conditions including those of MIL-T-27 (Grade 5, Class S). The part mounts on square pins, 0.025 in square typical, and where a connection is unused there is no pin.

Ratings for the 106EE:

  • Maximum primary DC: 9 mA
  • DC resistance: 65 ohms primary, 83 ohms secondary, +/- 15%
  • Output: 500 mW
  • Insertion loss: 1 dB
  • Low frequency roll-off: 150 Hz at -1 dB
  • Peak working voltage: 200 V
  • Drawing figure: 9

The 106EE is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 0.09 lbs (0.04 kg). It shares its electrical ratings with the 106E, which has a secondary without a center tap and uses drawing figure 8.

Ideal For

  • Balanced 600 ohm audio inputs on PCBs
  • 1:1 impedance line interfaces with center taps
  • Sealed audio inputs in demanding environments
