The 101R is a miniature potted audio transformer that matches a 600 ohm center-tapped primary to a 50 ohm center-tapped secondary. It is a P.C. board mount, pin-type part for engineers who need to interface standard 600 ohm audio lines with low-impedance 50 ohm circuitry.
The potted construction is rugged and produces a completely sealed unit that withstands severe environmental conditions. At a net weight of only 0.1 oz it adds little mass to a board. The primary and secondary are interchangeable, so the 101R can step 50 ohms up to 600 ohms as well as down.
Nominal DC resistance is 44 ohms on the primary and 4.7 ohms on the secondary. The useful impedance range is 300/25 to 1200/100 ohms primary/secondary, keeping the same 12:1 impedance ratio for loads anywhere in that span.
Frequency performance from the series data:
- 300 Hz to 100 kHz +/- 0.5 dB at 100 mW (minimum range)
- 200 Hz to 100 kHz +/- 0.5 dB at +10 dBm and +15 dBm
