Hammond 101P 300:50 Ohm Center-Tapped PCB Audio Transformer

The 101P is a miniature potted audio transformer that pairs a 300 ohm center-tapped primary with a 50 ohm center-tapped secondary. As a pin-type part for P.C. board mounting, it gives circuit designers a sealed, board-level way to bridge a 300 ohm stage and a low 50 ohm load or source.

Rugged potted construction produces a completely sealed unit able to withstand severe environmental conditions, and the part weighs only 0.1 oz. The secondary may be used as the primary and the primary as the secondary, so the 101P also works as a 50 to 300 ohm step-up.

Nominal DC resistance is 20.4 ohms on the primary and 4.8 ohms on the low-impedance secondary. The useful impedance range spans 150/25 to 600/100 ohms primary/secondary. That keeps the same 6:1 impedance relationship across several pairings, from 150 to 25 ohms up to 600 to 100 ohms.

At 100 mW the 101P holds +/- 0.5 dB from 300 Hz to 100 kHz, which is its minimum frequency range. It reaches 200 Hz to 100 kHz +/- 0.5 dB at +10 dBm and +15 dBm, and 300 Hz to 100 kHz at +20 dBm. All of these figures are measured with no DC current saturation. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 0.01 lbs.
