Hammond ST242408SS 24x24x8 in Square Sloped Top Stainless Enclosure

The ST242408SS is a 24 x 24 in square Eclipse ST sloped top enclosure, 8 in deep. It gives panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers a Type 4X stainless steel housing for electrical or electronic equipment in harsh, industrial wallmount applications, with a sloped top that prevents water from resting on top and offers potential for mounting controls.

Formed from 14 gauge 304 stainless steel, the enclosure has continuously welded seams ground smooth and a natural stainless smooth brushed finish. A formed lip excludes flowing liquids and contaminants and a seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door. Quarter turn latches with a tool slot secure the door, which hangs on 304 stainless hinges with stainless steel hinge pins and is removable and interchangeable.

H1 is 24.00 in and H2 is 26.89 in (683 mm). The drawing shows a door opening of 22.49 in wide by 22.47 in high, a 23.97 in wide door and a 70° top slope. The EP2424 optional inner panel is 22.20 x 22.20 in (564 x 564 mm) and mounts on collar studs.

Rear wall mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on 22.50 x 22.50 in centres, and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. The door has a bonding stud and the body a grounding stud.

The ST242408SS is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 rated, complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and ships boxed at 49 lbs (22.23 kg).
