Hammond SHV031029 100W Control Panel Heater Fan, 80 mm

The SHV031029 is the 100 W entry model in the SHV Series of control panel heaters. It protects electrical enclosures from condensation and temperature fluctuations in industrial and control panel applications, and is intended for situations where forced air circulation is needed but space is limited. It suits panel builders and maintenance teams looking for a compact heater with its own fan.

A cartridge heater in a die-cast aluminum heat sink produces the heat, and an included 80 mm (3.15 in) ball bearing axial fan, 25 mm (0.98 in) deep, moves 20 CFM of air to distribute it. The fan is required for safe operation, and a built-in temperature limiter provides overheat protection. The temperature maximum with fan is 250°F/120°C, and the fan durability is rated at 30,000 hours at 68°F ambient.

The SHV031029 runs on AC 120 V (series operating voltage AC 110-120 V, 50/60 Hz) with an operating current of 0.89 A. Wiring connects to a 5 pole terminal for 14 AWG maximum, with G/L1/N1 for the heater and L2/N2 for the fan, so heater and fan can be wired separately.

It clips onto 35 mm DIN rail (EN 60 715) using the included clip and operates from -49 to 158 °F (-45 to 70 °C). Protection is IP44 and Protection Class 1 (tested for grounding at 1250 V), with UL Recognized Component, cUL Recognized Component and CE approvals. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 1 lb (0.45 kg).
