The SHGM1420 is the 20 W mid-range model in the SHGM Series of mini radiant heaters. It is aimed at engineers and panel builders heating small enclosure housings or isolated spots in sensitive areas who need twice the output of the 10 W version in the same compact body.
A self-regulating PTC resistor provides the heat, housed in a black anodised aluminum profile. At 20 W, the maximum surface temperature rises to 239°F (115°C). For automatic control, the heater is used in combination with a Normally Closed thermostat or humidistat.

The component data sheet gives an operating and storage temperature range of -40 to +70 °C (-40 to +158 °F) and allows installation in any orientation, preferably vertical. The SHGM1420 snaps onto 35 mm profile DIN rail according to EN 60715.
Protection is IP20, and approvals are UL Recognized Component, cUL Recognized Component and CE. The SHGM1420 is RoHS and REACH compliant, with a shipping weight of 0.5 lb (0.23 kg).
