The SHGM1410 is the 10 W model in the SHGM Series of mini radiant heaters, the lowest-output heater in the range. It is designed for small enclosure housings or for heating isolated spots in sensitive areas, making it a fit for OEM engineers and panel builders working with compact control boxes where a larger heater would not fit or would be excessive.
The heating element is a PTC resistor with a self-regulating surface temperature, set in a black anodised aluminum profile. At 10 W, the maximum surface temperature is 203°F (95°C). The heater is intended to be used in combination with a Normally Closed thermostat or humidistat.
The compact body measures 1.16 in (29 mm) by 1.77 in (45 mm) by 1.97 in (50 mm), with an L dimension of 12.00 in (305 mm); connection is by an 11.8 in (300 mm) connecting cable rather than terminals. The SHGM1410 operates on 110-250 V AC, 50/60 Hz, with a maximum current of 1 A, and the component data sheet lists a 100% duty cycle and an operating and storage range of -40 to +70 °C (-40 to +158 °F).
It snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail profile per EN 60715 and can be installed in any orientation, preferably vertical. Protection is IP20, and approvals are UL Recognized Component, cUL Recognized Component and CE. The SHGM1410 is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 0.5 lb (0.23 kg).
