The SHGM1430 is the 30 W model and the highest-output option in the SHGM Series of mini radiant heaters. It keeps the same compact footprint as the 10 W and 20 W versions, so OEM designers and panel builders can add more heat to small enclosure housings, or heat isolated spots in sensitive areas, without giving up space.
Its PTC resistor heating element has a self-regulating surface temperature and sits inside a black anodised aluminum profile. At 30 W, the maximum surface temperature is 284°F (140°C). It is intended to be used together with a Normally Closed thermostat or humidistat.
The body measures 1.16 in (29 mm) by 1.77 in (45 mm) by 1.97 in (50 mm), and the L dimension is 12.00 in (305 mm). Power is connected by an 11.8 in (300 mm) cable. The SHGM1430 operates on 110-250 V AC, 50/60 Hz with a maximum current of 1.2 A. The component data sheet lists a 100% duty cycle and an operating and storage temperature range of -40 to +70 °C (-40 to +158 °F).
The heater snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail profile according to EN 60715; installation orientation is as desired, preferably vertical. It is IP20 and carries UL Recognized Component, cUL Recognized Component and CE approvals. The SHGM1430 is RoHS and REACH compliant and has a shipping weight of 0.5 lb (0.23 kg).
