Hammond RZ0250 52x50x35 mm IP65 Polycarbonate Enclosure

The RZ0250 is the smallest enclosure in the RZ Series of water-tight enclosures: a compact light gray polycarbonate box measuring 2.05 in x 1.97 in x 1.38 in (52 mm x 50 mm x 35 mm). It is made for engineers who need to seal a tiny sensor board, interface module or small electronic assembly against oil, dust and water, and the polycarbonate version is suggested for outdoor use.

Polycarbonate gives this model a UL94 V-2 flammability rating and a temperature range of -40 °C to +130 °C, in RAL7035 light gray with a smooth surface. The lid is gasketed with two-piece tongue & groove construction, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP65. Lid screws are self-captivating, threading the lid holes on first installation, and the enclosure is assembled with corrosion resistant hardware.

Inside, the drawing shows 30.00 mm [1.18 in] height and 43.61 mm [1.72 in] width. The maximum P.C. board is 44.77 mm x 42.77 mm, fixed to internal mounting points that accept M3 self-tapping screws. For wall mounting, the through box-blind hole construction keeps the mounting holes outside the gasket perimeter.

Each RZ0250 includes the box, lid, string gasket, 4 PCB screws and 2 lid screws, packed in a bag at 0.11 lbs (0.05 kg). Recommended torque is (43-50) ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m. The replacement gasket is RZ0362GASKET. It is REACH and RoHS compliant with UPC 623980404813; a clear-lid version is RZ0250C.
