The RZ0232 is the deepest of the large-footprint RZ Series enclosures, measuring 8.74 in x 5.75 in x 2.95 in (222 mm x 146 mm x 75 mm). It provides space for large boards plus tall components, DIN rail devices and wiring, for integrators building sealed control or power electronics.
It is molded in light gray RAL7035 polycarbonate with a smooth surface, rated UL94 V-2 and specified for -40 °C to +130 °C, and polycarbonate is suggested for outdoor use. The two-piece tongue & groove gasketed lid protects against oil, dust and water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP65. The lid is fastened with six self-captivating lid screws using corrosion resistant hardware.
The drawing shows 69.00 mm [2.72 in] of inside height and 138.02 mm [5.43 in] of inside width. P.C. boards up to 210.37 mm x 137.19 mm fit on internal mounting points that accept M3 self-tapping screws and are designed for boards or DIN rail mounted components. Through box-blind hole construction places the wall-mounting holes outside the gasket perimeter.
RZ0232 ships bagged at 1.17 lbs (0.53 kg) with the box, lid, string gasket, 4 PCB screws and 6 lid screws. Recommended torque is (43-50) ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m. The replacement gasket is RZ0353GASKET. REACH and RoHS compliant; UPC 623980404912. Clear-lid version: RZ0232C.
