Hammond RZ0223C 171x121x80 mm Clear Lid Polycarbonate Enclosure

RZ0223C combines the deep 171 mm x 121 mm x 80 mm (6.73 in x 4.76 in x 3.15 in) RZ Series body with a clear polycarbonate lid. It suits assemblies with taller components, such as DIN rail devices or stacked boards, where indicators or displays should be visible through the cover.

The light gray RAL7035 polycarbonate body has a smooth surface, UL94 V-2 flammability rating and a -40 °C to +130 °C temperature range, and polycarbonate is suggested for outdoor use. A two-piece tongue & groove gasket seals the lid against oil, dust and water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP65. Lid screws are self-captivating and hardware is corrosion resistant.

The drawing gives 74.00 mm [2.91 in] inside height and 112.85 mm [4.44 in] inside width. P.C. boards up to 161.99 mm x 111.99 mm mount on internal points that accept M3 self-tapping screws; the mounting design also covers DIN rail mounted components. Through box-blind hole construction puts the wall-mounting holes outside the gasket perimeter.

Each RZ0223C ships in a bag at 0.84 lbs (0.38 kg), with the box, clear lid, string gasket, 4 PCB screws and 4 lid screws. Tighten to (43-50) ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m. Replacement gasket: RZ0340GASKET. REACH and RoHS compliant; UPC 623980745657. The RZ0223 is the version without a clear lid.
