Hammond RZ0223 171x121x80 mm IP65 Polycarbonate Enclosure

The RZ0223 is the deep version of the 171 mm x 121 mm RZ Series enclosure, measuring 6.73 in x 4.76 in x 3.15 in (171 mm x 121 mm x 80 mm). With 74.00 mm of inside height it accommodates relays, terminal blocks, DIN rail components or stacked boards that will not fit the 55 mm RZ0214.

It is molded in light gray RAL7035 polycarbonate with a smooth surface, rated UL94 V-2, with a -40 °C to +130 °C temperature range, and polycarbonate is suggested for outdoor use. The two-piece tongue & groove gasketed lid protects against oil, dust and water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP65. Lid screws are self-captivating, and the enclosure is assembled with corrosion resistant hardware.

The drawing gives 74.00 mm [2.91 in] inside height and 112.85 mm [4.44 in] inside width. The maximum P.C. board is 161.99 mm x 111.99 mm, fixed to internal mounting points that accept M3 self-tapping screws and are designed for boards or DIN rail components. Wall-mounting holes are outside the gasket perimeter thanks to through box-blind hole construction.

RZ0223 is bagged at 0.84 lbs (0.38 kg) and includes the box, lid, string gasket, 4 PCB screws and 4 lid screws. Recommended torque is (43-50) ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m, and the replacement gasket is RZ0340GASKET. REACH and RoHS compliant; UPC 623980404875. Clear-lid version: RZ0223C.
