Hammond RPA Stainless Steel Padlock Adapter for Wall Racks

The RPA is a field-installable padlock adapter that adds padlockable security to Hammond HWC, HLP and NWC wall rack cabinets. It is intended for IT and AV integrators, facilities teams and OEM engineers who need to physically restrict access to network equipment, patch panels and controls housed in a wall-mount rack enclosure.

The adapter is a two-piece assembly consisting of an RPA padlock hasp and an RPA padlock body, and it installs in line with the cabinet's existing clasp-latch. Once installed, the mounting bolts cannot be removed without the door open, so the hardware cannot be defeated from outside a closed and locked cabinet. A dedicated hole is provided for a padlock tamper seal. The padlock and tamper seal themselves are not included.

Construction is 14-gauge 304 stainless steel, tumbled for a smooth edge. Cabinet mounting hardware (assembly hardware) is supplied with the part. Per the drawing, the body measures 3.00 in (76 mm) and 2.90 in (74 mm) across the front view with a 0.11 in (3 mm) material thickness, and mounting provisions include 0.189 x 0.438 and 0.250 x 0.406 oblong slots. Shipping weight is 1 lb (0.45 kg).
