The RP1285BF is a light gray ABS plastic enclosure from the RP Series With Bottom Flange, built for OEM engineers, panel builders and field electricians who need a sealed housing for printed circuit boards or small components. It pairs an opaque lid with an integral bottom flange, so the box can be screwed straight to a wall, machine frame or backplate.
The lid uses a gasketed, two piece "tongue & groove" design that guards against oil, dust and water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP65. The rubber gasket ships with the enclosure and is installed in the field. Self captivating M3.5 stainless steel machine screws, included, thread into corrosion resistant bushings so the lid can be removed and refitted repeatedly. The ABS body carries a UL94 HB flame rating.
Outside, the box measures 7.32 x 5.75 x 2.95 in (186 x 146 x 75 mm). The drawing gives inside dimensions of 177.51 x 137.51 x 68.13 mm and an overall length of 219.95 mm across the flange, with 5.20 mm mounting holes on 205.00 mm centres. Boards up to 173 x 134 mm fit, and the PC board posts accept M3 self-tapping screws.
