Hammond RM5U22BKSP 5U x 22" Replacement Side Panel, Black

The RM5U22BKSP is a single replacement side panel for 5U RM series rack-mount aluminum instrument enclosures that are 22.00 in (559 mm) deep. In the RM ordering table it is the 5U entry in the 22.00 in depth row of replacement side panels, the same depth as the RM5U1922SBK and RM5U1922VBK enclosures. Maintenance teams and OEM builders use it to replace a damaged side, or to keep a spare that can be drilled for connectors or mounting points.

The 558.78 mm [21.999 in] length carries 6 threaded 10-32 UNF-2B holes per side, up from 4 on the 13 and 18 in panels, plus 6 Ø4.78 mm [Ø0.188 in] holes.

The RM series specification describes the side panels as extruded aluminum, 0.125 in (3.2 mm) thick, and the enclosures as finished in rugged textured black powder coat; the part description reads "RM5U x 22" SIDE PANEL BLACK". The drawing shows a panel height of 221.49 mm [8.720 in] for the 5U height, threaded holes called out as 6 X Ø4.20 mm [Ø0.165 in], both sides, 10-32 UNF-2B thru, and 4 X Ø4.00 mm [Ø0.157 in] thru holes countersunk Ø7.50 mm [Ø0.295 in] x 82.0°. RM side panels are interchangeable left to right, and are sold individually.

The RM5U22BKSP is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships at 2.7 lbs (1.22 kg), and is identified by UPC 623980108926 and UNSPSC 43201602. As with other powder-coated RM parts, panels are not grounded to the frame; the grounding method is to be determined by the customer.
