Hammond RM5UMTGFL 5U Replacement Rack Mounting Flanges, Pair

The RM5UMTGFL is the 5U replacement pair of front rack ears for RM series rack-mount aluminum instrument enclosures, described by Hammond as "hardware - rack-mounting flange for RM series, 5U". It is listed in the Replacement Front (Pair) of Rack Ears table at 5U, making it the spare for the tallest enclosures in the range. Integrators, maintenance teams and OEM builders use it to replace damaged ears or to return a desktop-used 5U enclosure to 19 in rack service.

On the drawing, each flange has a front-view height of 221.49 mm [8.720 in], matching the 221.49 mm front panel height of the 5U enclosures, a side-view width of 30.48 mm [1.200 in] and a material thickness of 3.18 mm [0.125 in]. Rack attachment is through 2X 0.422 x 0.250 slots on 209.55 mm [8.250 in] centres, the same vertical rack-ear hole spacing shown on the 5U enclosure drawings. The flange attaches to the enclosure through 2 x Ø3.99 mm [Ø0.157 in] holes countersunk 2X Ø0.20 in x 0.31 in, Ø0.39 in x 82.0°.

The ordering table notes that replacement rack ears include enclosure mounting screws. The 5U RM enclosures are all full-width 16.60 in models that ship with a pair of 19 in rack mounting flanges: RM5U1913, RM5U1918, RM5U1922 and RM5U1928, each in solid (SBK) and vented (VBK) versions.
