The RM2U18BRKT is an adjustable-depth rear bracket kit for 2U RM Series rack-mount aluminum enclosures, supplied as a pair of rear rack ears for 4-post mounting. It gives integrators and OEM builders rear support points when installing a deeper 2U instrument case in a 4-post rack.
The series ordering table lists the RM2U18BRKT for the 2U full-width chassis in 18", 22" and 28" depths: RM2U1918SBK, RM2U1918VBK, RM2U1922SBK, RM2U1922VBK, RM2U1928SBK, RM2U1928VBK. It is compatible with the full 16.60" width versions only, and the maximum depth it adds to the chassis is 16.00 in (406 mm).
The kit is made of steel with a black finish. The drawing, shown on a RM2U1918*BK case, calls out a rear support bracket and a rear extension bracket with an overall length of 508.00 mm [20.000 in], a front height of 88.09 mm [3.468 in], 18x Ø4.78 mm [0.188 in] holes and 6-32 PEM nuts (4x).
Included fasteners per the drawing: 8x #6 external tooth washers, 8x #6 flat washers, 8x #8 hex nuts, 8x #8 internal tooth washers, 8x 6-32 x 1/2" screws and 8x 8-32 x 1/2" screws. The 10-32 clip nuts and 10-32 x 1/2" screws shown on the drawing are not supplied. The kit ships in a box at 1.75 lbs (0.79 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
