Hammond RM2U18BKSP 2U x 18 in Replacement Side Panel, Black Aluminum

The RM2U18BKSP is a replacement 2U side panel for the RM Series rack mount aluminum instrument enclosure, sold individually. It has a nominal depth of 18.00 in (457 mm) and is listed as a 2U x 18" side panel in black. It suits integrators, OEM engineers and service technicians who need to replace a damaged side, re-work a chassis or keep a spare on hand.

The panel is aluminum; RM Series side panels are extruded aluminum 0.125" (3.2 mm) thick, and the enclosure is finished in a rugged textured black powder coat. Because of that powder coat finish, panels are not grounded to the frame, so the grounding method is to be determined by the customer.

On the drawing, the panel measures 457.20 mm [18.000 in] long with a profile height of 88.13 mm [3.470 in] and a profile width of 16.51 mm [0.650 in]. This 18.00 in deep 2U panel has four 10-32 UNF-2B tapped holes, four countersunk through holes, four 4.29 mm (0.169 in) holes on both sides and six 4.78 mm (0.188 in) holes.

The RM Series uses interchangeable side panels, and the ordering table lists the same 18.00 in depth in other heights as RM1U18BKSP (1U), RM3U18BKSP (3U), RM4U18BKSP (4U), RM5U18BKSP (5U). The RM2U18BKSP ships at 1.4 lbs (0.64 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
