Hammond RM2U08BKSP 2U x 8 in Replacement Side Panel, Black Aluminum

The RM2U08BKSP is a replacement 2U side panel for the RM Series rack mount aluminum instrument enclosure, sold individually. It has a nominal depth of 8.00 in (203 mm) and is listed as a 2U x 8" side panel in black. It suits integrators, OEM engineers and service technicians who need to replace a damaged side, re-work a chassis or keep a spare on hand.

The panel is aluminum; RM Series side panels are extruded aluminum 0.125" (3.2 mm) thick, and the enclosure is finished in a rugged textured black powder coat. Because of that powder coat finish, panels are not grounded to the frame, so the grounding method is to be determined by the customer.

On the drawing, the panel measures 203.20 mm [8.000 in] long with a profile height of 88.13 mm [3.470 in] and a profile width of 16.51 mm [0.650 in]. This 8.00 in deep 2U panel combines four 10-32 UNF-2B tapped holes, four countersunk through holes and a pair of 4.30 mm (0.169 in) holes drilled on both sides.

The RM Series uses interchangeable side panels, and the ordering table lists the same 8.00 in depth in other heights as RM1U08BKSP (1U), RM3U08BKSP (3U), RM4U08BKSP (4U). The RM2U08BKSP ships at 0.45 lbs (0.20 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
