RH3165A combines the wide 165 x 102 x 32.5 mm (series table) RH Series hand-held enclosure with a battery door. The part page lists a nominal 6.5 x 3.94 x 1.26 in (165 x 100 x 32 mm). It is designed for battery-powered hand-held products with a large circuit board, up to 153.79 x 92.17 mm.
The enclosure is made from light gray general purpose ABS with a light texture, rated UL94 HB. Lap joint construction offers some protection against dust accumulation and splashing water, and the removable front panel allows easy modification. Cover screws are M3-0.5 x 20 mm (SC610-50); per the series, M3 machine screws thread into integral brass bushings for repetitive assembly and disassembly.
Molded standoffs in both halves accept M2.6 self-tapping PCB screws. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid, 4 PCB screws, end panel, battery door and 4 lid screws; recommended torque is (43-50) Ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m.
