Hammond RH3165 165 x 102 mm Handheld ABS Enclosure, Light Gray

The RH3165 is the wide 165 mm member of the RH Series, listed at 165 x 102 x 32.5 mm in the series table (nominal 6.5 x 3.94 x 1.26 in / 165 x 100 x 32 mm). It gives designers room for a large PCB, up to 153.79 x 92.17 mm, in an ergonomic hand-held case. This version has no battery door.

Molded in light gray general purpose ABS with a light texture, the enclosure carries a UL94 HB flammability rating. Its lap joint gives some protection against dust accumulation and splashing water, and the removable front panel makes connector and switch cut-outs easy. The lid uses M3-0.5 x 20 mm cover screws (SC610-50), and the series specifies M3 machine screws threaded into integral brass bushings suited to repeated assembly.

P.C. board standoffs are molded into both halves and accept M2.6 self-tapping screws. The assembly includes the box, lid, 4 PCB screws, end panel and 4 lid screws, with a recommended torque of (43-50) Ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m.

RH3165 ships bagged at 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg) and is REACH and RoHS compliant. SC519-50 PCB screws and the CP-001G nylon belt clip kit are listed accessories, and RH3165A is the battery-door version.
