Hammond RB-2PS1948BK 48U 2-Post Open Frame Rack, 1600 lb Capacity

The RB-2PS1948BK is a 48U, 19-inch EIA-compliant 2-post open frame rack from the RB-2PS Series, built for IT, telecom and structured cabling installations that need high mounting capacity with full access to equipment. It is part of the Rack Basics line designed for simple, reliable and affordable installations, and it is intended for network closets, data rooms and telecom spaces where open access and airflow matter.

Construction is 12-gauge mild steel with a black powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, supporting indoor air quality and environmental compliance requirements. The frame carries a 1600 lb load rating. Unlike welded racks, this rack uses a knock-down design and ships unassembled, which makes shipping, handling and on-site installation easier in buildings with tight access or freight constraints. A self-squaring frame design simplifies assembly and keeps the uprights properly aligned.

Overall dimensions are 90.13 in x 20.00 in x 15.00 in (2,289 mm x 508 mm x 381 mm), with EIA mounting dimensions of 84.00 in (2134 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide across 48 rack units. Each rail offers a dual-hole configuration: 12-24 tapped holes on one side and square holes on the reverse, so the same rack can accept a wide range of mounting hardware. A 12-24 screw hardware pack is included, along with two top brackets, two base angles and assembly hardware.

Side ganging and accessory mounting provisions let the RB-2PS1948BK be joined to adjacent racks or fitted with vertical and horizontal cable management. Two racks can also be converted into a four-post configuration using the Four Post Rack Kit (FPRK). The rack is TAA-compliant, USMCA compliant, REACH compliant and manufactured in North America.
