Hammond RB-2PS1945BK 45U 2-Post Open Frame Rack, 1600 lb Capacity

The RB-2PS1945BK is a 45U, 19-inch EIA compliant 2-post open frame rack from the RB-2PS Series, built for IT, telecom and network installations that need high-capacity rack mounting with full access to equipment. It is part of the Rack Basics line designed for simple, reliable and affordable installations, and it ships unassembled for easier transport, handling and on-site assembly.

Construction is 12-gauge mild steel with a 1600 lb load rating, finished in black powder coat that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant for indoor air quality and environmental compliance. The self-squaring frame design simplifies assembly and keeps the rack properly aligned during installation, while side ganging and accessory mounting provisions allow expansion and integration with cable management solutions.

Overall dimensions are 84.88 in x 20 in x 15 in (2,156 mm x 508 mm x 381 mm) with 45U of mounting space: 78.75 in (2000 mm) of mounting height on a 19.00 in (483 mm) mounting width. Shipping weight is 67 lbs (30.39 kg). Each rail offers a dual hole pattern — 12-24 threaded holes on one side and square holes on the reverse — so the RB-2PS1945BK can be set up for either mounting method, and a 12-24 screw hardware pack is included.

The knock-down kit consists of right- and left-hand RB-2PS rails, two top brackets, two DC4R base angles and the assembly hardware. Two of these racks can be converted into a four-post configuration with the Four Post Rack Kit (FPRK).
