Hammond RB-2PS1942BK 42U 2-Post Open Frame Rack, 1600 lb Capacity

The RB-2PS1942BK is a 42U, 19-inch EIA-compliant 2-post open frame rack built for IT, telecom and structured cabling installations where equipment needs to stay fully accessible. It is part of the RB-2PS Series in the Rack Basics line, and ships knock-down (unassembled) so it is easier to move through doorways, elevators and tight service spaces before being built on site.

Construction is 12-gauge mild steel with a black powder coat finish, rated for a 1600 lb load. The frame is self-squaring, which simplifies assembly and helps keep the rails aligned during installation. Each upright carries a dual rail configuration: 12-24 threaded holes on one side and square holes on the reverse, so you can choose the mounting method that suits your hardware. A mounting hardware pack of 12-24 screws is included, along with the rails, top brackets, base angles and assembly fasteners.

Overall dimensions are 79.63 in x 20.00 in x 15.00 in (2,023 mm x 508 mm x 381 mm), with 42U of usable mounting space measuring 73.50 in (1867 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide. Shipping weight is 64 lbs (29.03 kg).

Side ganging and accessory mounting provisions allow racks to be joined and integrated with cable management. Two RB-2PS1942BK racks can be converted into a four-post configuration using the Four Post Rack Kit (FPRK).
