Hammond RASV190320BK1 2U Vented Rack Shelf, 20 in Deep, 100 lb

The RASV190320BK1 is a 2U fixed universal rack shelf with a vented surface, 20.00 in (508 mm) deep, built to support non-rackmount IT, AV and industrial equipment inside standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. Its universal design mounts to any standard EIA-compliant rack or cabinet, making it suitable for data centers, network closets, broadcast racks and industrial control enclosures.

The shelf is formed from mild steel in a 14-gauge construction with a suggested load capacity of 100 lbs (45 kg); Hammond notes this product was tested to double the suggested load rating. A stiffener lip folded up at the back adds rigidity and helps keep equipment in place. The surface is vented for airflow, using 0.24 x 1.50 in venting slots, so heat-generating devices such as amplifiers, small servers and UPS units can breathe while supported.

Mounting dimensions are 3.50 in (89 mm) high by 19.30 in (490 mm) wide by 20.00 in (508 mm) deep, occupying 2U of rack height. The front flanges use slotted mounting holes, and the shelf can be installed internally as an equipment shelf or externally as a work surface. Mounting hardware is not supplied with the shelf.

RASV190320BK1 is finished in black textured powder coat, which per the RAS Series is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant and TAA compliant, made in Canada, and ships at 13.01 lbs (5.90 kg). For 2U and 3U sizes, the optional RASCLAMP clamping arm accessory provides secure equipment retention, replacing the legacy RACS Series. A solid (un-vented) equivalent of this size is available as RASU190320BK1.
