Hammond RASU230520BK1 3U 23-Inch Solid Rack Shelf, 200 lb Capacity

The RASU230520BK1 is a 3U fixed rack shelf with a solid (un-vented) steel surface, sized for 23-inch racks and cabinets. It belongs to the RAS Series universal rack shelf family and is intended for IT, AV and industrial users who need a dependable support surface for equipment that cannot be directly rack-mounted — small servers, UPS units, amplifiers, media devices, peripherals and test gear.

Construction is mild steel finished in a black textured powder coat. The RAS Series finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, supporting indoor air quality and environmental compliance requirements. The solid deck gives maximum surface support for equipment with feet, small footprints or heat-sensitive undersides where a vented deck is not required; the vented equivalent in this size is RASV230520BK1.

Mounting dimensions are 5.25 in (133 mm) high by 23.30 in (592 mm) wide with a 20.00 in (508 mm) depth, occupying 3U of rack space. The drawing shows an overall front panel width of 23.01 in (584 mm), a shelf surface width of 21.50 in (546 mm) and an inside width of 21.36 in (542 mm). A stiffener lip is folded up at the back only. Suggested load capacity is 200 lbs (91 kg), and the drawing lists a maximum weight of 200 lb. Shipping weight is 16 lbs (7.26 kg).

The universal design mounts to any standard EIA-compliant 23-inch rack or cabinet, and RAS Series shelves can be installed internally as a shelf or externally as a work surface. The front flange carries 8 slotted mounting holes (0.25 x 0.38 in slots). Mounting hardware is not supplied with the shelf. RASU230520BK1 is made in Canada, USMCA compliant, TAA compliant, REACH and RoHS compliant.
