Hammond RASV190107DBK1 1U Vented 7 in Deep Rack Shelf, 42 lb Load

RASV190107DBK1 is a 1U vented fixed rack shelf for standard 19-inch racks and cabinets, intended for IT, AV and industrial users who need to support equipment that cannot be directly rack-mounted. At 7.00 in (178 mm) deep it suits compact devices such as media players, small network appliances, power supplies and test gear where a shallow support surface is enough.

The shelf is formed from mild steel in 16-gauge for this size and finished in a textured black powder coat that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, supporting indoor air quality and environmental compliance requirements. The vented shelf surface uses 0.24 x 1.50 in slots to let air move through and around the equipment it carries.

Mounting dimensions are 1.75 in (44 mm) high by 19.30 in (490 mm) wide by 7.00 in (178 mm) deep, occupying 1U of rack space. The drawing gives an overall front panel width of 19.01 in (483 mm) with 18.32 in (465 mm) mounting slot spacing, a shelf width of 17.50 in (444 mm) and 17.39 in (442 mm) inside. Suggested load capacity is 42 lbs (19 kg); the drawing notes a maximum weight of 40 lb, and the series states this product was tested to double the suggested load rating.

On the RASV190107DBK1 the front and back stiffener lips are folded down, keeping the top surface clear from front to rear. Four 0.25 x 0.38 in mounting slots let it install on any standard EIA-compliant rack or cabinet, internally as a shelf or externally as a work surface.
