Hammond RASU190522BK1 3U Solid Rack Shelf, 22 in Deep, 200 lb

The RASU190522BK1 is a 3U solid (un-vented) universal rack shelf for standard 19-inch racks and cabinets, built to carry equipment that has no rack-mount ears of its own. With a 22 in (559 mm) mounting depth it suits deeper boxes such as small servers, UPS units, amplifiers, media devices and test instruments used by IT, AV and industrial integrators.

Construction is mild steel in 14-gauge for this 3U size, with a stiffener lip folded up at the back for added rigidity and a suggested load capacity of 200 lbs (91 kg). Hammond notes that the product was tested to double the suggested load rating. The solid (un-vented) shelf surface maximizes support area, while the black textured powder coat finish is stated as GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant.

Mounting dimensions are 5.25 in (133 mm) high by 19.30 in (490 mm) wide by 22.00 in (559 mm) deep. The drawing for RASU190522BK1 shows a 19.01 in (483 mm) front panel width, 5.22 in (133 mm) panel height, a 17.50 in (444 mm) shelf width and 17.36 in (441 mm) inside width, with 8 mounting slots of 0.25 x 0.38 in in the front flanges.

The universal design mounts to any standard EIA-compliant rack or cabinet, and the shelf can be installed internally as a shelf or externally as a work surface. Mounting hardware is not supplied with the shelf. The optional RASCLAMP clamping arm accessory provides secure equipment retention for 2U and 3U sizes, replacing the legacy RACS Series. The shelf is made in Canada, is USMCA and TAA compliant, and ships at 20 lbs (9.07 kg).
