Hammond RAKS19BK1 2U Sliding Keyboard Shelf With 16 Inch Travel

RAKS19BK1 is a 2U sliding keyboard drawer built for standard 19-inch EIA-310-E racks and cabinets. It is intended for IT, telecom, industrial and AV installations that need occasional local keyboard access at the rack, letting the keyboard slide out for use and then store completely inside the rack when it is not needed.

The shelf is made from 16-gauge mild steel with a black powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD Gold Certified, TSCA compliant and RoHS compliant. It rides on two heavy-duty ball-bearing 16-inch full-travel slides that are tested to BIFMA standards for a minimum of 55,000 operating cycles. The series is rated for loads up to 129 lb (59 kg); the part drawing for RAKS19BK1 lists a maximum weight of 120 lb.

Overall dimensions are 2.69 in (68 mm) high, 18.90 in (480 mm) wide and 15.00 in (381 mm) deep, occupying 2U of rack space. Shelf depth and slide travel are both 16.00 in (406 mm), and the usable shelf width is 16.51 in (419 mm), sized to fit standard 17-inch wide keyboards. Shipping weight is 15 lbs (6.80 kg).

Installation requires two pairs of mounting rails, with a rail mounting distance of minimum 8 in to maximum 18 in. The assembly consists of one keyboard shelf, two 16-inch full-travel slides and four slide mounting brackets; some assembly is required. A keyboard is not included.
