Key Features

  • 230 V, 50/60 Hz; 84 W, 0.52 A running current
  • 3242 BTU/h (950 W) rated cooling capacity
  • Integrated thermostat and solenoid valve with alarm contact
  • 53 GPH (400 L/h) flow at 14.5-145 PSI (1-10 bar)
  • 10 bar copper tube / aluminum fin core, 1/2" barb connections
  • 19.68 x 7.88 x 5.55 in; side, door or internal mounting
  • Low noise, maintenance-free design

The PWS7102A230N4SS is the 230 V SS variant of the PWS 7102 air/water heat exchanger. Like the rest of the PWS 7000 series, it uses a water source to cool an enclosure where ambient conditions involve high temperatures, harsh conditions or frequent wash-down, so it suits OEMs and plant engineers specifying closed enclosures on 230 V supplies.

The unit delivers 3242 BTU/h (950 W) with the enclosure at +95 °F (+35 °C) and water at +50 °F (+10 °C). It requires 53 GPH (400 L/h) of coolant at rated capacity, operates from 14.5 to 145 PSI (1 to 10 bar), and moves 153 CFM of internal air. Chilled water/glycol, tower water and other circulated coolants are all compatible, provided the liquid is at least 10 °C colder than the inlet air.

Electrically it runs on 230 V at 50/60 Hz, consuming 84 W and drawing 0.52 A, with a terminal block connection. Automatic temperature control comes from the integrated thermostat and solenoid valve with alarm contact, adjustable from +46 to +122 °F (+8 to +50 °C) with a +95 °F (+35 °C) factory setting. The heat exchanger is a rugged 10 bar copper tube / aluminum fin assembly with 1/2" barb connections, and the design is low noise and maintenance-free.

Dimensions are 19.68 in (500 mm) high, 7.88 in (200 mm) wide and 5.55 in (141 mm) deep. Side, door or internal mounting is supported, and a PWS 7102/7062 drilling template is supplied. The PWS 7000 series lists UL, cUL and CE standards and complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X. The PWS7102A230N4SS ships at 16 lbs (7.26 kg) and is REACH and RoHS compliant.

Ideal For

  • 230V sealed enclosures in wash-down environments
  • Harsh-condition panels cooled from a chilled water loop
  • High-ambient electrical cabinets using tower water
