Hammond PPFP190802BK1 3U 19 in Rack Fan Panel, Two 80 mm Openings

The PPFP190802BK1 is a 3U rack mount fan panel with two 3.15 in (80 mm) fan openings, intended for IT, telecom and AV installers who need to add active cooling to an open frame rack or an enclosed cabinet. It mounts directly to standard 19 in EIA-compliant rack rails, so it drops into the same vertical space as any other panel or blank in the rack.

Construction is mild steel, made of 14 GA. steel per the part drawing, with a black powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. The panel measures 19.00 in (483 mm) wide with a 5.25 in (133 mm) mounting height (5.22 in / 133 mm overall on the drawing) and uses four 0.25 x 0.53 in (6 mm x 13 mm) slots for rack rail mounting. Shipping weight is 2.8 lbs (1.27 kg). Mounting hardware is not included.

Each of the two openings is 3.12 in (79 mm) diameter and accepts a standard square 3.15 in (80 mm) fan, with eight 0.19 in (5 mm) holes provided for fan fastening. Because the fans are specified separately, PPFP190802BK1 can be built up as a plain fan panel or as a filter-fan panel, configured for intake or exhaust airflow, and it supports push-pull cooling strategies when paired with compatible fan grill panels. The series also supports integration with thermostats for temperature-controlled cooling.
