Hammond PJW363610L 36x36x10 Type 4X Fiberglass Wallmount Enclosure

The PJW363610L is a square 36.25 x 36.25 x 10.13 in (921 x 921 x 257 mm) Type 4X fiberglass polyester wallmount enclosure. Its wide, shallow format gives a large mounting face for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures in locations that are hosed down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive.

Both box and cover are gel-coat, fiberglass and resin, finished in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering. The drawing specifies a 0.15 in (3.91 mm) wall, a continuous stainless steel hinge, and three padlock-provisioned stainless steel draw latches with keeper plates, which the series describes as stainless steel butterfly twist-latch fasteners. An EPDM gasket seals the opening.

Because it is 36x36 in, this size has 8 collar studs for added stiffness. The 3/8 studs accept the optional 18P3333 inner panel, 33.00 x 33.00 in (838 x 838 mm) in white powder coated steel, and the hardware is included: PVC spacers, stainless steel 3/8-16x2 threaded rod, internal teeth locking washers, flat washers and 3/8-16 hex head nuts. The drawing also shows an optional painted carbon steel back panel 0.105 in (2.67 mm) thick. An integrated mounting flange is used to hang it, and the polyester can be punched, cut or drilled.
