Hammond PJU864L 8x6x4 Solid Cover Type 4X Box with Mounting Feet

The PJU864L is an 8.05 x 6.27 x 4.13 in (204 x 159 x 105 mm) Type 4X junction box with a solid fiberglass polyester cover and four polycarbonate mounting feet. It is a straightforward choice for terminal wiring, splices or small control components in locations that see water, heat or corrosive chemicals.

The PJU Series is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures. It is rated UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and complies with IEC 60529 IP66, and the series is noted for insulation and protection where equipment may be hosed down.

Box and matching cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering, and are easily punched, cut or drilled. The wall is 0.13 in (3.30 mm). The door swings on a molded hinge with a stainless steel pin and closes with a single lockable stainless steel snap latch on center, with a padlocking provision, against a closed cell neoprene gasket.

Inside, four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws take the optional 14R0705 inner panel, 6.75 x 4.88 in (171 x 124 mm), in 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, or 0.125 in fiberglass. The feet mount on #10-32 brass inserts with stainless steel screws; holes are 0.31 in (7.95 mm) and overall height with feet is 9.47 in (240.48 mm). Rated 130°C to -40°C with a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index; shipping weight 4 lbs (1.81 kg); RoHS and REACH compliant.
