The PJU181610LW is an 18 x 16 x 10 in Type 4X polyester enclosure with a hinged, windowed cover closed by two stainless steel lockable snap latches, so the door opens without tools. It is aimed at technicians who check instruments, terminals or electric, hydraulic and pneumatic controls often and want fast access plus a clear view through the polycarbonate window.
The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a light gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering. A continuous stainless steel hinge pin supports the door, and a captive oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket seals it. The material is easily punched, cut or drilled for entries.
Actual dimensions are 18.30 in H x 16.52 in W x 10.13 in D (465 x 420 x 257 mm). The optional P1868 inner panel, 16.88 x 14.88 in, fastens to four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws. Back panel options on the drawing are 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, and 0.125 in fiberglass.
Mounting is by four polycarbonate feet screwed into rear brass inserts with stainless steel screws, giving a 20.12 in overall height and 19.16 in vertical hole spacing per the drawing. The PJU181610LW is rated UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, IEC 60529 IP66, and operates from -40°C to 130°C.
