Hammond PJU181610 18x16x10 Fiberglass Junction Box, Solid Cover, Feet

The PJU181610 is an 18 x 16 x 10 in Type 4X polyester junction box with a solid lift-off cover and four polycarbonate feet. With 10.13 in of depth it gives room for deeper devices and terminal assemblies, and it is intended for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures in locations that are hosed down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive.

The enclosure and matching cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering. The material is easily punched, cut or drilled. Four stainless steel captive cover screws seat in #10-32 brass inserts with retaining O-rings, and a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket provides the seal.

Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws are provided for the inner panel or a terminal kit, and the polycarbonate feet attach with stainless steel screws in brass inserts, with mounting hardware included. The PJU181610 is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. Operating temperature is -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), impact index is 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and it is REACH and RoHS compliant.
