Hammond PJU201610 20x16x10 Fiberglass Junction Box, Solid Cover, Feet

The PJU201610 is the tallest box in the PJU lift-off cover range: a 20 x 16 x 10 in Type 4X polyester junction box with a solid screw-fastened cover and four polycarbonate feet. It is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, especially where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet, or where high temperatures or highly corrosive conditions occur.

The enclosure and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in a gray finish, with enhanced UV inhibitors that protect against outdoor weathering. The material is easily punched, cut or drilled. Four stainless steel captive cover screws engage #10-32 brass inserts and are retained by O-rings, and a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket gives a positive seal.

Outside dimensions are 20.5 in H x 16.27 in W x 10.13 in D (521 x 413 x 257 mm), and the shipping weight is 18 lbs (8.16 kg). The optional P2068 inner panel, 18.44 x 14.44 in (468 x 367 mm), mounts on four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws; inner panels are offered in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass.

Four polycarbonate feet fasten with stainless steel screws in brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. PJU201610 is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. It operates from -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
