Hammond PJU14126 14x12x6 Fiberglass Junction Box, Solid Lift-Off Cover

The PJU14126 is a 14 x 12 x 6 in Type 4X polyester junction box with a solid lift-off cover held by screws and polycarbonate mounting feet. It is designed for use as an instrument enclosure, an electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, an electrical junction box or a terminal wiring enclosure, and suits sites where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet, or where high temperatures or highly corrosive conditions are present.

Both the box and the matching cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in a gray finish, with enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering. The material is easily punched, cut or drilled for conduit entries and devices. The cover is secured by four #10-32 brass inserts with stainless steel captive cover screws and retaining O-rings, and a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket provides a positive seal.

Overall size is 14.05 in H x 12.27 in W x 6.13 in D (357 x 312 x 156 mm), and the shipping weight is 9 lbs (4.08 kg). Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R1311 inner panel, which measures 12.75 x 10.88 in (324 x 276 mm).

Four polycarbonate feet are fastened through #10-32 brass inserts with stainless steel screws, and the mounting hardware is included. Because this is a solid-cover size up to and including 14 x 12, the PJU14126 carries the full rating set: UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 6P, 12 and 13, plus IEC 60529 IP66 and IP68. It operates from -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
