PJU1086HF is a 10 x 8 x 6 in Type 4X polyester junction box with a solid continuous hinge cover and two glued polycarbonate flanges for surface mounting. It is built for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, offering insulation and protection in hose-down, very wet, high-temperature or highly corrosive locations.
The enclosure and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with a 0.14 in (3.68 mm) wall thickness shown on the part drawing and enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering. The material is easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover pivots on a 316 stainless steel hinge pin and is closed by a 316 stainless steel captive cover screw arrangement in #10-32 brass inserts, sealing on an FIP (formed-in-place) polyurethane gasket.
Enclosure dimensions are 10.05 in H x 8.27 in W x 6.13 in D (255 x 210 x 156 mm), and the shipping weight is 6 lbs (2.72 kg). Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R0907 inner panel, 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm), available in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass.
The flanges are secured with 316 stainless steel screws in four #10-32 brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. PJU1086HF is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with the same NEMA types, and is rated IEC 60529 IP66. It is rated for -40°C to 130°C (-40°F to 266°F), has a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
