Hammond PJU1086CCT 10x8x6 Clear Cover Twist Latch Type 4X Box with Feet

PJU1086CCT is a 10 x 8 x 6 Type 4X junction box with a clear cover, twist latch closure and polycarbonate feet, from the PJU Series with continuous hinge and twist latches. At 6.13 in deep it offers more depth than the 10 x 8 x 4 size, for instruments, terminals and control components that should remain visible in wet, hot or corrosive locations.

Per the part drawing, the box is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a 0.14 in (3.68 mm) wall thickness, and the clear cover is injected polycarbonate. The cover pivots on a 316 stainless steel hinge pin and is secured by a 316 stainless steel lockable twist latch; the series door fasteners include a padlocking provision. Sealing is by a FIP (formed-in-place) polyurethane gasket.

The ordering table lists the enclosure at 10.05 in x 8.27 in x 6.13 in (255 x 210 x 156 mm). Four polycarbonate feet attach with 316 stainless steel screws into #10-32 brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. The optional 14R0907 inner panel measures 8.75 in x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm) and mounts on #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws.

The enclosure body is gray with enhanced UV inhibitors and is easily punched, cut or drilled. Series standards are UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, with an operating range of -40°C to 130°C. PJU1086CCT is REACH and RoHS compliant.
